winter is here

Since a few days we do have winter weather in Lund. It started with the first snow in this year a few days ago. Since that it was melting a bit but there was also some new snow that arrived, so we have around 5cm of snow. Although we have no mountains is it still very beautiful. Especially the weather is amazing throughout the last few days. We had almost one week of sunny, almost cloud free weather. Even the nights are clear and so the temperatures dropped down quite a bit. Two days ago we had the coldest day since we are here: -8°C. Feels almost like winter. The air is so clear and fresh it's really amazing.
Although the snow on the bicycle ways is quite dangerous because everything is covered with ice. So I have to drive very, very carefully. But in any case does my new headlamp do a good job, it makes cycling a lot easier and I suddenly see where I am driving and how the road-conditions are :).
